Hi there,

I am Carol Enright (aka ABBA's Boston's) and we currently live in Salt Lake City, UT.

I've had Boston Terrier's since 1968 and was involved in the sport of "Dog Showing" with my smooth coated Chihuahuas  before then. Before that I competed in the horse world-riding for an Arabian stable and also competing with my own Quarter Horses.

Our first Boston was purchased as a gift (pet) for my husband, but she soon wiggled her way into my heart and I have been in love with the breed ever since.  When I decided to look for a "show" Boston, I became acquainted with Pat Errickson of San Diego and purchased Patcha's Jim Billy... a handsome mahogany brindle dog and Patcha's Folly (his mismarked mother) .  He was a joy to show, but often overlooked because of his color-this was not the most popular color of the time--solid black & white dogs were being shown.  I then purchased a finished bitch from Billie Niegenfind-Ch BB's Globe Trotters Melody. We bred her to Jim Billy, had a litter of SIX - and the rest as they say "is History . . . ." The conformation showing and breeding went dormant for a while when I got a divorce in 1973 and I needed to concentrate on raising my two daughters. I kept a couple of Bostons and we went to an occasional local show.

Then in 1985, after a move to Sacramento, California,I decided it was time to get active again.  When I started looking for a new show dog to show, I was fortunate enough to become "adopted" by Stella Zimmerman (Lucky Lady's Kennel) who was living in Phoenix, AZ at the time.  I purchased a cute little male puppy we called "Buster" who became Ch Lucky Lady's Grandslam O'Rudy, CGC,ROM.  He was bred to a local female who was shown and produced a litter that all finished.  My puppy was Ch Abba's Shea'd  of Perfection, CGC,ROM**-listed as one of the TOP Producing females (She was bred to a male from Doris Oakley's lines- Andi's High Climber of Do-Go).  All of my current Boston's come down from this wonderful, sweet, intelligent girl.  Through the years, we have gained more and more knowledge about health issues in this breed and are now dedicated to making sure that ANY Boston carrying the ABBA name has been thoroughly tested and passed these tests. Minimum (for puppies)would be BAER (hearing), CERF (eyes), OFA heart, OFA patella - then more tests are done when actual certifications are registered.
